Booking Terms

1.0. Booking your holiday at White Well Holiday Cottages. 

1.1. When you make a booking that is more than 6 weeks from the arrival date of your holiday we require a deposit of 30% of the rental fee. This must be paid immediately on receipt of our invoice otherwise we can not guarantee your booking.

1.2. Before your arrival date we will issue an invoice for the balance. This must be paid in full not less than 42 days before your arrival date. This invoice will be sent to the same email address as that used for the initial booking and deposit. Failure to settle the final invoice within the prescribed time frame will result in the loss of your booking and the loss of your deposit.

1.3. If you choose to cancel your holiday for any reason before your arrival date, unfortunately all sums paid will be non refundable. We recommend taking out travel insurance to cover costs in case of your cancellation.

1.4. Should you make a booking which is less than 6 weeks before the arrival date, payment of the full price of the holiday will be required to secure the booking.   

1.5. All bookings are subject to a security deposit which must be paid in full by bank transfer 14 days prior to arrival. We do not accept cash security deposits. The security deposit for Dairy is £150, The Owl Loft is £150 and Hay Loft is £70. 



2.0. Arrival and Departure.

Our holiday cottage lettings start at 3pm on arrival day and finish at 10am on the departure day. These times are fixed to ensure that we can gain access to the cottages to clean them properly and carry out any necessary maintenance. It is unlikely that we will deviate from these times so please don't ask!  


3.0. Breakages and Soiled Linen.

It is better to make us aware of damage rather than letting us find out after you have left. Small items we can absorb the cost of, however larger items especially soiled linen (including towels) that can not be returned to the same condition as when you arrived will result in a deduction from your security deposit.  You will be surprised what can be repaired and remember that items can fail through no fault of you and it is better to make us aware at the time of noticing the problem so that we can deal with it in a timely manner. Every cottage will be in full working order on your arrival unless we make you aware at the time of your arrival.


4.0. No stag or hen parties or similar are accepted. We reserve the right to turn away any single gender groups. We operate a no smoking policy. 



 (Hay Loft ONLY)

While we make every effort to ensure the hot tub is in full working order, there are times when it will require maintenance or may even need a new part resulting in it not being available for use. White Well Holiday Cottages is positioned quite far from major habitations and is definitely located 40 miles away from any type of engineering support.  Consequently repairs are not instant. It is prudent to manage your expectations regarding the availability of the hot tub to avoid disappointment.



6.0. The Family Games Room

All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Unless requested in advance the games room opens after 9am and closes at 9pm.
